@Christian ich sehe dich in Vollmerz.
@Micha:danke für das benachrichten, du bist ein freund!

A last message; this little fecker flies even on slow sessions, the skin tends to loosen a bit after play but before placing the Stealth in the hangar be sure he is in rest with skin not too tight. For the rest a drum that is distinctive noticable in a session and to be handled with care in order to not disturb any-one. I like this one guys! All the best, Ron

    Hi Micha, Christian and others,
I agree with you Micha. You definatly have to know what you're doing with this little flyer. If you had to be modest before on a session, you will have to be MORE careful with this one because like Micha said everything you do with either left or right hand will result in immediate response of the drum. Saturday I have an appointment with Jef to play together in the Antwerp session and I'll tell more after that about my findings.
The thing that struck me most is the differance in tone above or under the dorsal line, It listens to everything what the pilot demands but watch out this drum can crash if in the wrong hands. I was looking for a little size drum and in the row of drums I have it was the outcome for what I was looking for. Thanks for designing and making this guys! Talk to you soon on sunday!!! :D

Thanks for the review and kind words Micha; you're totally head on! Next to my RWE and HEL which I thought were very distinctive drums this little fellow stands out. Its fun to discover it and play with the dorsal line of the goat. Indeed the bass spurprised me and I totally liked its black appearance. By the way I like the bass on a drum to be able to cover the whole scala of tones until you reach the very high pitch notes. I think this drum really talkes to me. The others too but they are bigger and are more present. This little fellow doesn't give much away until you hear it! That's why I named it the stealth :D Saturday I'm playing a session in Antwerp and I'll letyou guys know how I did. Jef played his allready in larger sessions but now I'm curious to play it in this more quiet/slow session and want to hear the comments of the other musicians.
Take care guys and keep up the good work! Ah I like these drums and the people who play them ;)

I love this little drum ;-) and yes guys it REALLY flies!!!!
I didn't knew that Bodhranmaker could lock up so many ammo in one stealth : clicks, low bursts of thunder, middle range stuff; what do they say about toys for big boys ? ;-) All the best,
    Ronnie

    Hallo Micha, Christain unt andern,
I schreibe jetzt weiter in English weil das ein bischen besser geht wie Deutsch. Yesterday I received my new drum from Christian (MHTF). What can I say? I was a while thinking of searching for a smaller drum with all the qualities and stumbled on Micha's and Christian's design. How I like this drum. It stands very on its own in the CH-family. Next to my RWE and HEL it has its own place and own sound. I call it my "Stealth". Why? Have you ever seen a stealth airplane? It has the same appearance of that airplane; black; the right design and form, I liked this little drum the minute I saw it. Jef my Belgian friend had his a bit earlier without the concave forms but I definatley wanted the "airplane" design. Why do I call it the "stealth"? After getting aquainted with it, I noticed the dorsal line of the goat who donated the skin for this drum and noticed a distinct differance in sound using the upper half of the drum. After tuning it the way I wanted I can't agree with Christians comments on the bass, mine sounded very bassy from the beginning (did you play it in Chris?) and yet produced still a high pop at the top of the drum. The "Stealth" : a secret airplane/drum that hits the sessions and is so surprising in sound that it will be difficult to name one of my other drums my favourite! But this one has a good chance to be the one that is all- round. Having said this; I don't like the strumpf drum, sorry christian, this is not my cup of tea. I'm sure it sounds O.K. but no blue drum for me! ;-) In my honest opinion this little drum is a highlight in the CH collection and coming up with the idea was a good thing and I hope I will have lots of fun with it at the sessions! Keep up the good work all you Bodhraneers! I hope to get together with you all some day!!!!! Take care!!

    Hallo freunde,
Tube, tuba who cares Mat? For me the message was clear! The most important thing is that we understand eachother!
English is universal and I am pleased that I can express myself in that language here on this forum! Making faults is what we do. (You should hear me play the whistle :D )
    I like this forum!!!!And I like sessions!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey Rolf! Thanks very much!
Today I found on youtube session video's of Hamm with the most wonderful musicians. Do you know of this? It seems to me that this isn't too far from Bonn but I don't know nothing about it. Reason I am asking is that I am in Enschede in september and perhaps can pop over to our German neighbours. Take care and best wishes!

    Hi Dean,
I think you are also spot on. Often some people just don't know how session rules (if I may use the expression) function. Often musicians who aren't use to play in them.
The basic rules I have always used are :
-Begin by introducing yourself and your instrument; in our case the Bodhran.
-Ask friendly if you can join in or play along or try to get them to listen to a "sample" of your capabilities.
-Never overplay any other, nore by Bodhran, nore by other instrument.
-During the session ask if you perform to other musicians satisfaction; often critisism is outed after you are gone and its better to ask if you play well enough during the session inbeyween tunes.
-Know your stuff; that is also the tunes!!!
-In case of several Bodhrans, take turns or play very soft, Bodhrans tend to overtake the session and are sometimes too loud for the liking of other musicians.
-Last but not least : enjoy yourself and be a bit respectful to one another; discussions on sessions are not done.
-Try not to solo too much, a gentle rythm is more appreciated than a technical demonstration.
On the other hand I was asked in Antwerp on the last session to start a Bodhran jam with three other Bodhran players; that is the moment to let the drum roar, if the others really ask for it!
My own opinion is that like you guys I love to play sessions; one of the last was in Kent; a little village, local players; very traditional Irish; with a main sessioneer calling or better shouting the tunes. Me and my wife had a swell evening that time! Take care and enjoy your sessions!
